NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. KC Trivia Challenge is intended to be free to play.

Each challenge has a defined start date and time and a defined closing date and time. Central Time (CT) is the controlling timezone for every challenge. Entries not completed before the closing time are not eligible.

Specific dates for each challenge are published on that challenge’s page and in its challenge-specific details.

1. Start the current challenge on the KC Trivia Challenge website.
2. Answer each timed question.
3. Answers lock as soon as they are selected.
4. Questions cannot be revisited once you move on.
5. Complete the challenge.
6. Provide your email address and verify it using the link sent to you. Verification is required for prize eligibility.
7. Your entry must satisfy all eligibility requirements in these Official Rules.
8. Only one eligible entry is permitted per person per challenge.

Each question may have its own time limit, shown when the question appears. If time expires before an answer is submitted, the question is treated as unanswered.

Leaving the page, switching apps, or closing the browser does not pause the official timer. Official response times are measured by KC Trivia Challenge’s servers, not by your device.

Each correct answer earns 1 point unless challenge-specific rules state otherwise. Incorrect and unanswered questions earn 0 points.

Entries are ranked by total correct answers, highest first. Accuracy always outranks speed — a faster entry can never beat an entry with more correct answers.

If two or more eligible entries share the highest score, the entry with the lowest cumulative response time on its correctly answered questions ranks higher. Time spent on incorrect or unanswered questions is not counted, and this is not a measure of overall completion time.

If an exact tie still remains, KC Trivia Challenge may conduct an additional skill-based tiebreaker among the tied entrants.

The following are prohibited and may result in disqualification:

• Submitting more than one prize-eligible entry per challenge, including through multiple emails or accounts.
• Using bots, scripts, or any automation.
• Using or participating in answer-sharing systems.
• Manipulating or attempting to manipulate question timers.
• Tampering with, disrupting, or reverse-engineering the website.
• Using fraudulent, false, or borrowed identities.
• Attempting to bypass eligibility rules.

KC Trivia Challenge may investigate suspicious activity and make reasonable determinations based on the totality of available information. A shared IP address or network alone does not automatically disqualify a player.

KC Trivia Challenge is not responsible for internet outages, server errors, browser or device failures, interrupted sessions, corrupted entries, or other technical malfunctions.

Where an issue appears to have been caused by KC Trivia Challenge’s systems, staff may review the situation and, at their discretion, authorize a replacement attempt. Replacement attempts are not guaranteed.

The top-ranked entry at close is initially a potential winner. Before confirmation, KC Trivia Challenge may review email verification, eligibility, entry integrity, anti-cheating signals, and compliance with these Official Rules.

A potential winner is not an official winner until approved. If a potential winner is disqualified, the next-ranked eligible entry may be reviewed.

Each challenge lists its own prize details, which may include the prize name, approximate retail value, sponsor or provider, restrictions, expiration, and redemption method. Challenge-specific prize details control for that challenge.

Prizes are non-transferable unless stated. Where legally appropriate, KC Trivia Challenge or the prize provider may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable.

Winners are responsible for any federal, state, and local taxes applicable to their prize. Winners may be required to provide tax information before a prize is awarded, as required by law.

Local businesses may provide prizes or promotional offers for individual challenges. Prize sponsors and offer providers do not write questions, score entries, or select winners. Sponsor offers are separate from the competition, and claiming one does not affect eligibility or ranking.

With the winner’s consent, KC Trivia Challenge may display a winner’s first name and last initial or an approved display name, city, and score on the website and social channels. A winner photo is used only if separately authorized.
